The Chittoor police on Tuesday arrested six individuals and seized liquor bottles worth ₹50 lakh, a mini-lorry, an SUV and two bikes, at Gajulapalle village of Tavanampalle mandal, 30 km from right here.
Superintendent of Police S. Senthil Kumar informed the media that performing on a tip-off {that a} gang was on its solution to Tirupati carrying liquor bottles from Karnataka, a particular crew was shaped with Deputy SP (Law and Order) N. A case has been registered, and the accused had been despatched for remand. Of the accused, all within the age group of of 25 to 40 years, two had been from Vellore district of Tamil Nadu, and 4 from Chittoor district.
