4,147 children rescued in ‘Operation Muskaan’ in A.P.

The police, in affiliation with different line departments and a few NGOs, carried out the seventh part of ‘Operation Muskaan’ in the State and rescued 4,147 children on Wednesday.
Of them, 3,503 had been boys and 644 had been women. Some children belonging to Telangana, Bihar, Odisha, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu and different States had been additionally rescued. The children could be handed over to their dad and mom after giving counselling, stated Director-General of Police D. Gautam Sawang.
Prakasam district police rescued 739 children, together with 145 women, the best in the State, adopted by 640 in Kurnool and 417 in Anantapur. The particular drive was straight monitored by the Police Commissioners and Superintendents of Police of the districts involved.
“Police provided food, clothes and necessary medical aid to the rescued children. COVID-19 tests were conducted for all the kids,” Mr. Sawang stated.
Raids in Krishna
Krishna Superintendent of Police M. Ravindranath Babu stated 246 children, together with 68 women, had been rescued in ‘Operation Muskaan’. The children had been aged between seven and 15 years.
Raids had been carried out on garages, inns, bus and railway stations, parks, inns and different institutions, the SP stated.

Child labourers rescued
The police rescued 60 children in Vijayawada Police Commissionerate limits. Later, Mr. Srinivasulu handed over the rescued children to their dad and mom.
