49 persons get seven-day jail for drunk driving

A complete of 49 persons, who had been booked for drunk driving in varied elements of the district, had been awarded seven-day imprisonment as punishment on Tuesday.
Violators had been from Haliya, Tripuraram, Peddavoora, Nidamanuru and Nagarjunasagar police station limits.
As a part of the (*49*) Safety Month, the Nalgonda police has been conducting random checks to stop street accidents. In earlier instances, violators had been imposed penalties and their driving licences suspended.
