East Godavari District Collector D. Muralidhar Reddy has directed the heads of departments to serve notices on the 640 authorities workers who remained absent from duty assigned to them throughout the first and second section of panchayat elections. The workers, a majority of them from the Education Department, didn’t attend to their designated polling duty in the 4 income divisions of Kakinada, Peddapuram, Rajamahendravaram and Ramachandrapuram, the place the polling was carried out on February 9 and 13.
