South Western Railway (SWR) on Friday introduced non permanent cancellation of Bengaluru-Mangaluru Central-Bengaluru Special Express (06515/16) working 4 days every week through Kunigal citing poor patronage.
Train No. 06539/06540 Bengaluru–Mysuru–KSR Bengaluru Express Special (six days every week) too will likely be cancelled from October 7 for a similar cause.
A launch from SWR right here stated the Bengaluru-Mangaluru service can be cancelled with impact from October 7 and the Mangaluru-Bengaluru service can be cancelled with impact from October 11. A notification stated the choice for non permanent cancellation was being taken on the instructions of the Railway Board. Train No. 06518 Mangaluru Central- Bengaluru Tri-weekly Express will run from Mangaluru Central on Thursday, Saturday and Monday, as a substitute of Thursday, Friday and Saturday, from October 8.
