Jal Jeevan Mission to revive urban water bodies

The urban water supply mission announced in the Budget on Monday would come with rejuvenation of water bodies in addition to 20% of provide from reused water, the Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry mentioned on Tuesday.

Apart from the Budget bulletins, the Ministry mentioned there had been a rise within the funds allotted to urban native bodies (ULBs) as per the fifteenth Finance Commission’s report. There had been a 78% enhance, from ₹87,143 crore within the 14th Finance Commission interval to ₹1,55,628 crore within the fifteenth Finance Commission’s interval, it mentioned.
