Telangana Governor, CM to take part in ‘Victory Mashaal’ on February 11

Governor Tamilsai Soundararajan, Chief Minister K. (*11*) Rao and different dignitaries are scheduled to take part in ‘Victory Mashaal state-level function at the Martyrs’ Memorial in Secunderabad on February 11.
The Victory Mashaal was lit earlier at National War Memorial in Delhi, on the southern leg of its journey as part of the Swarnim Vijay Varsh, golden jubilee of the victory of Indian armed forces in the Indo-Pak War of 1971 from Monday.
It was accorded a grand reception on the War Memorial, Artillery Centre, the place it was acquired by Lieutenant Colonel Narsinga Rao, Vir Chakra (retired) Gallantry Awardee of 1971 War, Lieutenant General K.R. Rao, PVSM, AVSM, VSM (retired) and Brigadier Jaydeep Yadav, Commandant, Artillery Centre, with full navy honours.
The 1971 War veterans and senior officers laid wreaths in honour of the sacrifice of the gallant warriors. During its final mile run, the ‘mashaal’ was carried by Arjuna/Dronacharya awardees, recruits, NCC cadets and schoolchildren to Makhan Singh stadium for show. Tricolour balloons had been launched, adopted by an audio-video narration of the 1971 War, band show and speeches to commemorate the occasion.
Telangana and Andhra Sub Area General Officer Commanding Major General R.K. Singh stated residents may also find a way to pay homage to the ‘Victory Mashaal’ throughout the perform at Parade Grounds in Secunderabad, a press launch stated.
