In the primary section of the polls to the posts of chairpersons and vice-chairpersons for 3 districts on Saturday, Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party gained two – Srinagar and Shopian, whereas CPI(M) – which is a part of the PAGD – gained from Kulgam.
In the second section of the elections, the polls have been held in the 2 districts of Budgam and Kupwara, whereas the elections in Baramulla district have been postponed.
While an unbiased candidate Nazir Ahmad Khan was elected because the chairperson in Budgam, Jammu and Kashmir People’s Conference led by Sajad Lone gained from Kupwara district.
