Members of the Amaravati Walkers and Runners Association (AWARA) on Sunday organised an Earth Day-9K run as a part of their common Sunday Nature Camp for Children and Parents.
Students drawn from faculties in Krishna and Guntur districts, with their dad and mom and some lecturers in tow, participated within the camp.
Earth Day is noticed on April 22. But preserving in view the severity of summer time in April, the organisers superior the occasion.
In a particular programme for kids, Kavya, from an organisation known as Earth Sitters, demonstrated methods to handle waste generated at residence. She made a non-carcinogenic, chemical free bio-enzymatic home cleansing agent utilizing easy residence substances.
AWARA founder Ajay Katragadda reminded the contributors that it was the bounden responsibility of each citizen to minimise one’s personal carbon footprint. “That’s the cornerstone of all AWARA activities — the Sunday nature camps, runs and swims over the last five years,” he mentioned.
