Coronavirus | Gujarat extends night curfew in Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot till April 15

In the wake of rising COVID-19 infection cases, the Gujarat authorities has prolonged night curfew in Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara and Rajkot till April 15. The period of restriction is from 9 p.m. to six a.m.
On Tuesday, the State witnessed 10 deaths, its highest toll in the final three months, whereas 2,220 new infections have been reported. So far, 4,510 folks have succumbed to COVID-19 an infection. The State has 12,263 lively instances, of which 147 are important and on ventilator help.
IIMA hotspot
Meanwhile, the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) has develop into a serious hotspot, with a complete of 191 instances reported up to now on its two campuses.
Of these, 86 of the instances are college students, as per an announcement issued by the institute. Four are school members, 46 are workers members (on-and off-campus), 19 are contractual workers and 41 are group members and others.

At IIMA, COVID-19 instances surged from the second week of March after a pupil examined optimistic on its campus after a spot of practically a month. Within 10 days, 10 extra folks examined optimistic, and the quantity went as much as 46 by March 27.
