Speaking to media individuals right here on Tuesday, Dr. Isaac mentioned the federal government wouldn’t take a hasty decision on deducting the salary of presidency workers and lecturers as determined by the Cabinet final month.
The decision to defer the salary lower once more for six months was taken after the CPI(M) State secretariat requested the Finance Minister to take a name after holding discussions. The workers’ unions had come in opposition to the transfer and the pro-UDF unions had threatened to go on strike if the salary was deducted.
