Handbooks on countering human trafficking released

Governor Biswa Bhusan Harichandan released a set of 5 handbooks on ‘Countering Human Trafficking’ introduced out by an NGO, Prajwala, on the Raj Bhavan right here on Thursday.
Speaking on the event, Mr. Harichandan stated that the menace of human trafficking ought to be tackled with a victim-centred method.
He stated that the handbooks can be useful to duty-bearers and stakeholders, together with judicial officers, prosecution officers, little one welfare committees, labour division officers and civil society organisations within the State as a great tool within the prevention and tackling of human trafficking.
Mr. Harichandan appreciated the efforts of Ms. Sunitha Krishnan and her workforce at Prajwala for his or her pioneering work on anti-trafficking and associated crime with the motive of ‘prevention, protection, rescue, rehabilitation & re-integration’.
