More KSRTC staff return to duty

The variety of KSRTC staff returning to duty has been on the rise in Hassan division. As of Friday, practically 600 workers returned to duty and 232 buses have been operated on the day.
Rajesh Shetty, Divisional Controller of KSRTC, mentioned the routes protecting Hassan-Bengaluru and Hassan-Mysuru have been operated on the day. “Gradually we are increasing the number of buses. We have not allowed private buses to operate to Mysuru and Bengaluru routes from the bus stand”, he mentioned. Earlier, the company transferred 34 workers, on costs of instigating protests. The concern of disciplinary motion by the company is alleged to have prompted the workers to return to duty.
In Shivamogga division round 700 workers have returned to duty thus far. On Friday, the division operated 100 buses. “So far the corporation has taken disciplinary action against 38 people. As many as 28 employees were transferred and 10 have been suspended”, mentioned Naveen T.R., Divisional Controller of Shivamogga.
The State authorities has allowed personal buses and maxi cabs to function as KSRTC workers are on strike. However, many personal operators are gathering larger journey fare from the passengers. Some operators even charged round ₹600 from passengers travelling to Bengaluru from Hassan. The ticket fare for journey by KSRTC bus was ₹ 220. Many folks have appealed to the district administration to regulate the fares in personal buses.
