The Centre has written to the States and Union Territories to provoke authorized or administrative motion towards establishments providing package for COVID-19 vaccination in collaboration with lodges.
Private hospitals couldn’t offer package for vaccination in collaboration with some lodges, the Health Ministry stated on Saturday, including that this was in violation of prescribed pointers.
In its letter, the Central authorities stated that it had come to the discover of the Health Ministry that some personal hospitals had been giving package for vaccination in collaboration with some lodges, which was towards the rules issued for the National COVID-19 Vaccination Programme.
It added that other than authorities and personal vaccination centres, office, close to dwelling COVID-19 vaccination centre for aged and differently-abled individuals to be organised at group housing societies, there have been no different avenues to hold out vaccination beneath the nationwide COVID-19 Vaccination Programme. So vaccination carried out in star lodges was opposite to the rules and have to be stopped instantly.
“Necessary legal and administrative actions should be initiated against such institutions. Therefore, you are also requested to monitor and ensure that National COVID-19 vaccination drive is carried out as per the prescribed guidelines,” the letter stated.
