Andhra Pradesh has set a file by vaccinating over 11.85 lakh people on a single day on Sunday, overcoming no matter “a little bit of vaccine hesitancy” amongst people, stated State Principal Health Secretary Anil Kumar Singhal.
Concluding the vaccination drive at a State-run elementary faculty at Ramnagar right here on Sunday night together with Ongole MP Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy, Mr. Anil Kumar Singhal stated a goal of vaccinating 10 lakh people in a day was set by Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy to show to everybody the State’s functionality to guard its people from the illness. Six lakh people have been vaccinated on a day on an earlier event.
Thanks to the mixed efforts of the workers and help from people representatives, as many as 11,85,653 people have been vaccinated throughout the State until 5 p.m. on Sunday, he instructed mediapersons right here.
The State had a capability to vaccinate about one crore people in a month, he stated, going by the overwhelming response to the particular drive right now.
A meticulous planning had gone into the conduct of the drive that lined, amongst others, moms of kids aged between 0 and 5 and 45-plus people, he defined.
“The whole exercise has been carried out in a fool-proof manner,” he added and patted the workers, together with ASHAs, ANMs and volunteers as much as the grassroots stage, for motivating the people and toiling from daybreak to nightfall whereas administering the vaccine.
