All the stakeholders together with wildlife and territorial wings of the Forest Department on Monday proposed to increase the boundary of the Eco-Sensitive Zone (ECZ) of the Coringa Wildlife Sanctuary (CWS) as much as 500 meters, in direction of the Hope Island from the water entrance on the north-east facet and 50 meters on the landward facet.

The stakeholders led by East Godavari Collector D. Muralidhar Reddy on Monday proposed the respective adjustments to the boundary of the ESZ, with out having any hostile affect on the Kakinada Municipal Corporation (KMC) actions on the land entrance of the sanctuary.
Mr. Muralidhar Reddy additionally requested the stakeholders to arrange a revised ESZ report which might be undergo the MoEFCC for approval.
