The undertaking concerned the event of two prototypes of 5m SSBS on Tatra 6×6 chassis and one other two prototypes of 10m SSBS on Tatra 8×8 re-engineered chassis, it said.
This bridging system is appropriate with the Sarvatra bridging system (75 m), the place the final span required masking gaps lower than 9.5 m. “The system will help in quick movement of troops and enhance the mobilisation of resources,” it added.
The DRDO has developed a variety of bridges for the Army which have already been inducted.
