Seven arrested, 163 grams of gold recovered

Kalaburagi Police on Saturday arrested seven members of a gang and recovered gold weighing 163 grams and valued at ₹8 lakh that from them.
The police additionally recovered two four-wheelers and two bikes valued at ₹7 lakh, used within the crime.
The police gave the names of the arrested as Raghu Chavan (19), Sheelvant Kale (19), Ratnu Pawar (21), Lalu Kale (24), Ganesh Kale (19), Shravan Shikari (24) and Kalavati Gounya (52).
All the accused belong to the Pardi group. Of the seven accused, 5 are from Savalagi village in Kalaburagi district, whereas Kalavati is from Sultanpur village on the outskirts of the town and Sharavan Shikari hails from Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh.
The breakthrough got here when Kalaburagi Police have been investigating housebreaking circumstances within the homes of Shamrao Mahendrakar in Suvarna Nagar and Ambuja Avadhoot at GDA Colony within the metropolis. The police obtained a tip-off concerning the gang and traced their actions.
During interrogation, the gang members confessed to having dedicated varied crimes and theft round Kalaburagi. The police mentioned that Kalavati was going from space to space promoting balloons at the same time as she carried out a reconnaissance of potential victims and their homes. Then, the gang focused locked homes and broke into them earlier than making away with valuables.
