Karipur gold smuggling case: Another car used by Arjun Ayanki seized

Customs officers seized one other car that was used by Arjun Ayanki, who was arrested in reference to the Karipur gold smuggling case.
The car was seized on the premise of Mr. Arjun Ayanki’s assertion. He advised customs that the car was used to escort the gold smuggler. The car was recognized after verifying the CCTV cameras.
According to police sources the car belongs to K. Vikas, a local of Udinoor in Kasaragod district. The registration certificates of the car is in his title. While he, together with Pranav — a resident of Thimiri close to Charavathur — rented out the car to Sarin — a resident of Kozhummal — who in flip gave the car to Adarsh of Eachur in Kannur,
Based on the knowledge, Kondotty police in Kozhikode directed the Chandera police in Kasaragod to grab the car. The car is saved on the station since Friday.
