AIADMK functionary demands reinstatement of three police officers
The ruling AIADMK on Thursday demanded that three police officers be transferred again to their authentic posts.
In a letter to Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora, the get together’s joint secretary for the advocates wing R. M. Babu Murugavel, recalled that the officers — H.M. Jayaram, IG (Central Zone), Dhinakaran, IG (West Zone) and Arul Arasu, Superintendent of Police, Coimbatore (Rural) — have been transferred on March 31 and of their place, Deepak M. Damor, A. Amalraj and Selva Nagarathnam have been posted, other than Davidson Devasirvatham as Commissioner of Coimabtore. The AIADMK functionary alleged that the officers, who have been lately posted, had “acted against” his get together they usually have been “hand in glove” with the Opposition get together, DMK.
Illegal actions
They had allowed the DMK to take pleasure in “several illegal activities” equivalent to money distribution for voters, he claimed.
Mr. Murugavel argued that because the officers have been posted for election obligation and polling was over on Tuesday, they need to be despatched again to their authentic posts and the sooner set of officers — Mr. Jayaram, Mr. Dhinakaran and Mr. Arul Arasu — be reinstated to their outdated posts.
