AIADMK gives 20 seats to BJP

Based on an agreement reached between the AIADMK and the BJP today [Friday], it has been decided to allot 20 seats to the BJP under the alliance led by the AIADMK,” the assertion stated.
The announcement comes after a number of rounds of talks between the 2 events, with Home Minister Amit Shah himself holding talks with the highest two leaders of the AIADMK after his go to to Puducherry on Sunday.

Mutharasan signed the settlement. “We held talks in a cordial manner to ensure the victory of the Secular Progressive Alliance, led by the DMK,” Mr. Mutharasan stated. Between the variety of seats and idealism, the latter was essential on this election as the target was to stop sectarian forces from coming into Tamil Nadu.
The DMK is but to finalise seat-sharing with the CPI(M) and the MDMK, whereas talks with the Congress have remained inconclusive. The CPI(M) has convened its secretariat assembly for Saturday. The challenge of seat-sharing shall be mentioned on the assembly, to be attended by common secretary Sitaram Yechury. Likewise, the MDMK’s high-level committee will meet to determine on the supply of seats made by the DMK.
