Artistes rally in support of agitating farmers

To make the voices of farmers protesting towards the Centre’s farm legal guidelines heard, a number of artistes belonging to varied cultural troupes staged a rally right here on Tuesday expressing solidarity with the farmers’ ongoing agitation on the Delhi borders.
Amid conventional drum beats, the artistes marched by the primary streets of the city as half of the rally.
Later, they staged an illustration titled “Aata Paata” on the Dharna Chowk close to the Collectorate in protest towards the three new legislations referring to agriculture.
Terming the three agricultural legal guidelines as ‘exploitative’, the demonstrators shouted slogans demanding the fast repeal of the three legislations.
They demanded that the agriculture sector, the mainstay of the nation’s economic system and the only real supply of livelihood for tens of millions of farmers all around the nation, be protected against imminent hazard of ‘exploitation’ by the ‘big corporate houses’.
