The Ayurvedic Medicine Manufacturers Organisation of India (AMMOI) had petitioned Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on November 30, 2020, citing this order, whereas mentioning that although the State had a separate AYUSH Department, it didn’t have an unbiased Drugs Controller for Ayurvedic medication. Right now, the Deputy Drugs Controller (Ayurveda), who can also be the State Licensing Authority, is connected to the State Drugs Controller for contemporary drugs.
