A senior chief of the BJP has lodged a complaint with the Election Commission of India (ECI), looking for de-recognition of the PDP over the “anti-national and anti-constitution” remarks of its president Mehbooba Mufti.
The former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister on Friday had mentioned that she was not thinking about contesting elections or holding the tricolour until the constitutional modifications enforced on August 5 final yr have been rolled again.

“I request your honour to consider her statements in the light of their seriousness, which are available on the public domain, as anti-national and anti-constitution of India and also de-recognise her party, PDP, as a genuine political party in J&K with immediate effect,” senior BJP chief and in-charge of division of political affairs and suggestions, Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo mentioned in his formal complaint to the ECI.
He alleged that the PDP president issued numerous outrageous statements in opposition to Parliament, parliamentarians, the nationwide flag and image of the nation and likewise in opposition to the scheme of elections within the Union Territory.

Mr. Chrungoo, additionally a Kashmiri pandit chief, alleged that she even went to the extent to name names of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath who’re elected representatives of the folks underneath the due technique of the legislation and the Constitution of India.
