With October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Government Kilpauk Medical College (KMC) Hospital right here organised an awareness programme on Monday.
According to a press launch, mammograms have been performed for five,940 girls at the hospital.
Of this, 143 girls have been identified with breast cancer and handled. Using a distinction 3D digital mammogram, medical doctors have been capable of display girls aged above 40 years with X-ray mammograms, detect and deal with lesions of even 0.5 mm measurement and breast calcifications.
