Manipur noticed the golden jubilee of the Manipuri movies on Friday. The first Manipuri movie Matam Gi Manipur directed by Devkumar Bose was launched in 1972.
The vibrant perform was held within the auditorium of the Manipur State Film Development Corporation in Imphal.
Chief Minister N. Biren, presiding over the perform, mentioned the federal government had taken steps to protect supplies associated to the expansion of Manipuri movies. “Cinemas reflect the culture and other aspects of the people,” he mentioned.
