Cleanup drive held in Sri City vicinity
As a part of making Sri City inclusive and sustainable, the economic metropolis directors on Thursday took up a large cleansing exercise in the neighbouring villages.
A lot of personnel together with safety employees, Sri City Foundation members, staff and public led by sarpanch Parvathi Sanyasaiah participated in a cleanliness drive at Chengambakkam village. The drive yielded a considerable amount of plastic waste and different types of rubbish. Surendranath, Executive Officer of Panchayat Raj division, Satyavedu, appealed to the villagers to cooperate with the Panchayat secretary and volunteers in sustaining the requirements of repairs set by Sri City.
Sri City Founder and Managing Director Ravindra Sannareddy referred to as the drive a big step in guaranteeing hygiene and sanitation, particularly through the pandemic.
“We encourage active participation of the public in maintaining a healthy environment in villages and will give out awards on Independence Day to villages maintaining overall cleanliness,” he mentioned.
