Four cryogenic containers, with a capability of 20 MT every, from Netherlands was being introduced from Nizampur. Similarly, 40 MT of oxygen is probably going to come from Rourkela by tonight or Sunday morning and one other 40 MT will come from Jamshedpur, Mr. Thennarasu mentioned.
Oxygen acquired from all these sources could be distributed throughout the State in order that even not a single affected person is affected by scarcity of oxygen, he mentioned.
The Minister mentioned that even the Indian Air Force is flying empty containers again to totally different sources for refilling. The Tamil Nadu Medical Services Corporation was taking efforts to procure 12 containers from China.
Meanwhile, 5,000 oxygen concentrators have been being procured by Confederation of Indian Industry and different voluntary organisations to meet the oxygen demand. Efforts have been additionally taken to revive dysfunctional models that used to produce oxygen, he mentioned.
