CPI(M) central leadership chooses not to criticise Cabinet selection in Kerala

The central leadership of the CPI(M) selected not to criticise the choice to drop K.K. Shylaja from the Cabinet in the second time period of the Pinarayi Vijayan authorities, placing the onus as an alternative on the State committee.

General secretary of the National Federation of Indian Women related to the CPI Annie Raja known as the choice deeply disappointing. “There are two aspects. One, their logic that Sylaja teacher has to be replaced because none of the old faces have been retained is flawed. Affirmative action has to be taken for gender justice. Second, the CPI(M) has not increased its tally of women Ministers, last time around also they had two and this time too they have the same number,” she stated.
