In a tragic incident, a Dalit couple was electrocuted in a rain-soaked sugarcane area at Bodulabanda village in Nelakondapalli mandal on Thursday.
The victims have been recognized as T. Anand Rao, 60, and his spouse Parvathamma, 55, each farm labourers of Bodulabanda.
Sources mentioned the couple was employed by an area sugarcane farmer to straighten the rain-soaked sugarcane vegetation in his agricultural area on Thursday morning.
Parvathamma reportedly got here in touch with a snapped stay electrical wire caught in slush within the partially waterlogged sugarcane area. She suffered electrical shock and died immediately.

The Nelakondapalli police registered a case and are investigating.
