Minister for Animal Husbandry, Wakf and Haj Prabhu Chavan has urged the officials of his division to develop the habit of receiving phone calls from farmers and attending to points raised by them.
Chairing a division assessment assembly at KMF Training Centre at Rayapur close to Hubballi, Mr. Chavan requested veterinary medical doctors to go to villages to take care of the issues of the these engaged in animal husbandry.
“You should send daily updates to me via WhatsApp. I am ready to hear the grievances of veterinary doctors and staff. If you have any problem, convey it to me and I will attend to it. But you should develop the habit of responding to the problems of the farmers by receiving their phone calls,” he stated.
The Minister stated that there was lots of potential in the area of animal husbandry in the State and people in the division ought to work in the direction of growing milk manufacturing and farm supplementary actions.
Mr. Chavan stated that he had obtained a number of complaints concerning the neglect by veterinary workers in offering vaccines and he wouldn’t tolerate such perspective in his workers.
