Floods: Central team in Karnataka from today

An Inter-ministerial Central Team (IMCT) will go to flood-affected areas of Karnataka from December 13 to fifteen.
The six-member IMCT, which will probably be break up into three groups of two members every, have been constituted for on-the-spot evaluation of flood/landslip affected areas in Kalaburagi, Vijayapura, Udupi, and different districts.

On December 15, the team will maintain discussions with Revenue Minister R. Ashok and Chief Secretary T.M. Vijay Bhaskar on the Vidhana Soudha at 4 p.m., stated an official notice.
Floods hit the State in three phases this yr. While the primary part was from August 1 to September 15, the second and third phases ranged from September 15 to 30 and October second week to 3rd week.
The Central team will determine the compensation for the second and third phases. In the second part of floods, 50 taluks in 16 districts have been affected, whereas a number of northern areas had been affected in the third part.
