Former CM’s appeal on death certificates
AIADMK co-coordinator and Leader of the Opposition Edappadi K. Palaniswami on Tuesday urged the authorities to have death certificates issued for individuals who died of COVID-19 with the precise purpose of death talked about.
Referring to the Supreme Court’s route on Monday on the identification of youngsters left in misery by COVID-19, Mr. Palaniswami urged the authorities to make sure that youngsters, who have been rendered orphans following the death of their mother and father on account of COVID-19, have been supplied with all the help of the federal government, other than guaranteeing that the final rites for the deceased have been carried out in tune with the COVID-19 security protocol.
Meanwhile, celebration coordinator O. Panneerselvam, in a letter, appreciated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his announcement on vaccination and for extending the free ration scheme until Deepavali.
The choices could be useful to States reminiscent of Tamil Nadu, he added.
