H.M. Maheshwaraiah, former Vice-Chancellor of CUK, no more

H.M. Maheshwaraiah, linguist and former Vice-Chancellor of the Central University of Karnataka (CUK), Kalaburagi, died of post-COVID-19 problems in Dharwad on Sunday. He was 71.
He leaves behind his spouse, Rajeshwari Maheshwaraiah, a son and two daughters.
He had examined constructive for COVID-19 and had undergone therapy at KIMS. Doctors discharged him two weeks in the past. But he developed some post-COVID-19 problems and was present process therapy at a personal hospital in Dharwad. He failed to answer therapy, household sources mentioned.
The final rites can be held on the Karnatak University graveyard on Monday.
Born in Hithal village of Shivamogga district, he studied for his Masters diploma in Linguistics and Kannada and received a doctorate in Linguistics from Karnatak University, Dharwad.
He labored within the CUK Kannada division for over 30 years, earlier than serving because the Vice-Chancellor.
He had researched on endangered Indian languages and written about methods to protect them.
