HC judge slams ‘hate speech’ by BJP cadre

Justice N. Anand Venkatesh of the Madras High Court on Friday took robust exception to a current “hate speech” made by BJP State govt committee member R. Kalyanaraman and questioned how he may consult with some outdated courtroom order handed in his case and insinuate as if the judge had endorsed his views on Prophet Mohammed.
During the listening to of a plea by evangelist Mohan C. Lazarus to quash a number of instances booked in opposition to him for talking in opposition to Puucho Gods and Puucho temples, the judge referred to Mr. Kalyanaraman’s current public speech video in circulation on social media and expressed robust condemnation for the speaker having dragged the judge’s title.
The speech was made at Mettupalayam in Coimbatore district on January 30. There he made insulting remarks in opposition to the Prophet and Islam. Subsequently, the police booked a case and arrested him on costs of selling enmity between completely different teams on the bottom of faith, moreover indulging in acts prejudicial to upkeep of concord.
