A.P. Mahila Commission organises ‘Mahila march’
Andhra Pradesh Mahila Commission Chairperson Vasireddy Padma has referred to as upon women working in varied authorities and personal organisations to be a part of hands to management crime in opposition to women within the State.
The Mahila Commission, in affiliation with Women Development and Child Welfare division and NGOs Child Rights Advocacy Foundation (CRAF) and World Vision India, organised ‘Mahila March @ 100 Days’ right here on Tuesday.
The programme was geared toward enlightening the women on varied Apps launched by the federal government for women safety and the welfare schemes being applied for women within the State, the chairperson mentioned.
Employees of WD&CW, District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), Mahila Samrakshana Karyadarshulu, ward secretaries and volunteers, members of CRAF and World Vision India, varied women organisations and different NGOs participated in a motorbike rally.
MLA Malladi Vishnu, Collector A.Md. Imtiaz, Joint Collector K. Madhavi Latha, Commission Chairperson R. Suez, Joint Collector L. Shiva Shankar, Vijayawada Sub-Collector H.M. Dhyanchandra flagged off the rally at PWD Grounds. Later, they fashioned a human chain at Police Control Room.
Ms. Padma mentioned as a part of the 100-day programme, the Commission would organise rallies, debates, felicitations, and maintain campaigns on Disha App, One Stop Centre and AP Police Seva App.
CRAF State Programme Director P. Francis Thambi mentioned the members would take part within the consciousness programmes on literacy, youngster marriages, trafficking, cyber crime, home violence and others schemes, together with the Mahila Commission and different authorities departments.
More than 2,000 women, carrying placards, participated within the bike rally and raised slogans on stopping crime in opposition to women.
Mr. Imtiaz mentioned that authorities was implementing many welfare schemes for women and requested them to make use of them.
WD&CW Assistant Project Director M. Prameela Rani, DCPO Ch. Vijay Kumar, World Vision India Director Tabita, supervisor Christopher and others participated.
