District Collector A.Md. Imtiaz and Mylavaram MLA Vasantha Krishna Prasad collectively released juvenile fish into the Krishna river at Pavitra Sangamam in Ibrahimpatnam on Saturday on the event of World Fisheries Day.
Mr. Imtiaz stated that the naturally accessible fish within the reservoirs of the district don’t meet the necessities, and the programme was geared toward rising the yield for the fishermen. He stated over 3,000 fishermen would profit from the programme.
The juvenile fish had been hatched within the government-run fish hatchery in Motoru, Gudivada mandal, of the district, he stated.
