Karnataka imposes lockdown for 14 days from May 10

With COVID-19 second wave wreaking havoc in Karnataka and the present curfew measures not efficient in containing the pandemic, the State authorities on Friday determined to impose a complete lockdown from 6 a.m. on May 10 to six a.m. on May 24.
After holding two-hour-long assembly with officers and ministers earlier within the day, (*14*) Minister B.S. Yediyurappa introduced lockdown measures and allowed the individuals to purchase important objects from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. throughout the two-week lockdown.
All outlets associated to fruits, milk, groceries, greens, meat and fish are allowed to open throughout the 4 hours.
All industries, accommodations, pubs and bars will stay closed. Inter-district motion of individuals is not going to be allowed, besides in medical emergencies.
The (*14*) Minister mentioned all public transport companies, together with BMTC and metro trains in Bengaluru and KSRTC throughout the State, will remained shut. All taxis, together with auto rickshaws, will stay off the roads.
Earlier, the federal government had imposed COVID-19 curfew from until 6 a.m. on April 27 to six a.m. on May 12.
