Karnataka, Maharashtra to share real-time data on rainfall, release of water

Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa on Saturday chaired a gathering of the inter-State flood monitoring committee of Karnataka and Maharashtra. The two States agreed to share real-time data on rainfall and water release from reservoirs in Krishna and Bhima basins so as to handle floods successfully.
The assembly determined to have higher coordination and communication between the 2 States on the ministerial degree, secretaries’ degree and on the subject degree for efficient flood administration in Krishna and Bhima basins.
