All preparations are in place within the district for the Assembly elections on Tuesday, the district administration has stated.
Over 28 lakh voters in 14 Assembly constituencies are eligible to train their franchise within the district.
Of the 4,164 polling stations, 1,428 are auxiliary polling stations and so they have been established near the primary stations in order to not create hardships for the voters, District Collector Navjot Khosa stated.
The polling will probably be held from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. within the district. Mock polling will start at 5.30 a.m. Every station can have three queues — for ladies, males and individuals with disabilities/aged residents. Webcasting amenities have been organized in 2,073 polling stations as a part of the safety preparations.
