Kodagu flood victims get houses

The victims of 2018 floods in Kodagu who misplaced their houses had a cause to cheer on Friday. For, they acquired the houses solely constructed for them by the federal government.
In complete, 162 houses – 140 in Gaalibeedu and 22 in Biligeri – had been handed over by Minister for Housing V. Somanna on Friday.
Mr. Somanna mentioned 660 houses had been handed over to the flood victims up to now in three phases. They embody 383 in Jambur, 80 in Madhenadu and 35 in Karnangeri. As many as 76 houses are underneath development at K. Nidugade and so they too will probably be handed over within the subsequent two months, he added.
Each home has been constructed at a value of Rs 9.85 lakh by the Rajiv Gandhi Housing Corporation.
