LDF bags nine of 11 constituencies in Kannur

Kannur district turned crimson on Sunday because the Left Democratic Front swept the Assembly elections by profitable nine of the 11 constituencies.
The LDF managed a snug win in Payyanur, Kaliyassery, (*11*), Kannur, Azhikode, Mattanur, Dharmadam, Koothuparamba, and Thalassery constituencies.

LDF candidate Kadannappally Ramachandran as soon as once more ensured his victory in Kannur constituency, the place he defeated UDF candidate Satheeshan Pacheni by 1,745 votes.
In (*11*) constituency, senior CPI(M) chief and LDF candidate M.V. Govindan gained the election.
