Lockdown to continue in 11 districts, relaxation in Bengaluru, other districts from June 14
While persevering with the present lockdown restrictions in 11 districts which have excessive positivity charges, the Karnataka authorities on Thursday modified a few of the restrictions imposed in other districts, together with Bengaluru Urban, from June 14 to 21.
However, the COVID-19 evening curfew shall be imposed from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. in all districts which have lockdown relaxations. The weekend curfew may even come into impact from 7 p.m. on Friday to 5 a.m. on Monday in all districts which have lockdown relaxations.
Current lockdown restrictions will continue until 6 a.m. on June 21 in 11 districts – Chickmagalur, Shivamogga, Davanagere, Mysuru, Chamarajanagar, Hassan, (*14*) Kannada, Bengaluru Rural, Mandya, Belagavi, and Kodagu — Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa introduced after a high-level assembly with ministers and officers.
Based on the (*11*) Advisory Committee’s solutions, the Chief Minister mentioned the lockdown restrictions have been relaxed in 20 districts. Time for opening of all retailers delivering important items and providers corresponding to meals materials, medication, milk, vegatables and fruits has been elevated by 4 hours — from morning 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. All avenue distributors shall be allowed to open from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
All industries and manufacturing items shall be allowed to open with 50% workers whereas garment industries shall be permitted to open with 30% workers.
The Chief Minister mentioned development actions could be permitted and all retailers associated to development work corresponding to cement and metal would stay open.
For the advantage of morning walkers, all parks shall be allowed to open from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m.
All taxies and autorickshaws shall be allowed to function with solely two passengers.
Earlier in the day, the Chief Minister held a videoconference with district commissioners of eight districts with excessive COVID-19 instances.
