Lorry runs over two policemen on vaccination duty in East Godavari

Two police personnel, together with a Head Constable, had been killed when a lorry ran over them whereas they had been ready to obtain a consignment of COVID-19 vaccines on ADB Road at Undoor bridge level beneath Samarlakota police limits in East Godavari district.
The incident occurred at round 1 a.m. on May 14. The car that ran over the policemen got here from Achampeta junction close to Samarlakota city.
The deceased have been recognized as Head Constable Mondi Satyanarayana, 60, and Home Guard M. Narayana Reddy, 58, serving with the Thimmapuram police station. They had been each natives of Kakinada metropolis. According to Thimmapuram police station authorities, Mr. Satyanarayana’s retirement was due in October.

The police registered a case and despatched the our bodies to the Government General Hospital (GGH-Kakinada) for autopsy investigation.
