The Communist Party of India (Marxist) on Monday held protests towards the steep rise in fuel costs in entrance of petrol pumps in Kurnool on Monday.
“The prices of petrol and diesel in our country are among the highest in the world, and one main reason for this is the exorbitant taxes levied by Central and State governments,” the celebration’s district chief G. Ramakrishna stated.
At the Bharat Petroleum pump close to Sukhibhava Hospital within the metropolis, celebration leaders held placards and banners demanding that petrol and diesel be introduced below the purview of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) and eradicating the management of the Central authorities in levying taxes or the petroleum refining firms rising fundamental costs.
“What is the Centre doing when the oil marketing companies are increasing prices every other day even as crude oil prices are declining?” Mr. Ramakrishna stated.
Protesters raised slogans towards the Centre and stated the costs of important items had been rising unabated as a result of rise in fuel prices.
With the Kharif season starting, the demand for diesel from the farmers will go up within the coming months and if the fuel costs maintain rising like this, the enter price would transcend the estimate of the farmers, he noticed.
