Minister warns cable operators of strict action

Minister for Information Technology Mano Thangaraj warned cable operators with the Tamil Nadu Arasu Cable TV Corporation (TACTV) of strict action in the event that they overcharge prospects past the prescribed subscription fee and people who don’t distribute set high packing containers (STBs) to prospects.
“Some cable TV operators who get Set Top Boxes from TACTV do not distribute it to the end consumers and are instead using these themselves for their personal benefit. These operators provide customers with Set Top Boxes of private cable TV companies and are charging higher subscriptions from the customers,” the Minister mentioned in a press release
TACTV will take strict action in opposition to such cable operators who’re inflicting loss of income for the cable company and people operators who don’t activate STBs offered to them inside three months and people who don’t return such STBs again to TACTV, the assertion mentioned.
TACTV companies have been being offered for ₹140 plus GST, and prospects can register their complaints on 18004252911.
