Minister for Municipal Administration Botcha Satyanarayana has alleged that former Chief Minister and TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu is indulging in gimmicks to gain sympathy of individuals forward of the Tirupati Lok Sabha bypoll.
Addressing a media convention right here on Tuesday, Mr. Satyanarayana stated that Mr. Naidu had introduced boycott of the MPTC and ZPTC polls as he was satisfied of the celebration’s defeat. Now, fearing the celebration’s debacle in the Tirupati bypoll, he was enacting the drama of ‘pelting of stones’ at his rally. His goal was to present the ruling celebration in unhealthy mild, Mr. Satyanarayana stated.
The public show of the stone, allegedly thrown at his rally, confirmed his eagerness to earn the sympathy of the general public. Investigation by the police and interrogation of 20 individuals after the incident and CCTV footage of the realm has not pointed to any suspicion or the presence of any stones in the realm. Only just a few individuals have been stated to have sustained minor accidents in the assault and it was being blown out of proportion, the Minister stated.
Saying that success and defeat have been frequent in elections, the Minister suggested Mr. Naidu to go for introspection for the celebration’s defeat in the Urban Local Body polls and provoke remedial measures as a substitute of indulging in mudslinging on the ruling celebration to gain low cost publicity.
‘Looting of sand’
Referring to the allegations of BJP president J.P. Nadda that sand was being looted in the State, he stated that in the course of the Telugu Desam Party rule in the State, when the BJP was in alliance with it, sand was looted and that was chargeable for the defeat of the BJP in the State.
The YSRCP authorities’s welfare programmes would make sure the success of the celebration in the bypoll, Mr. Satyanarayana stated.
