Navayuga-led JV bags Ramayapatnam port project
The authorities on Tuesday authorised the technical and monetary bids submitted by NECL which quoted ₹2,634 crore for the project.
A three way partnership agency led by Navayuga Engineering Company Limited (NECL) emerged because the profitable bidder for the development of the proposed greenfield port at Ramayapatnam in Prakasam district.

Permission has since been accorded to the CEO of AP Maritime Board to concern the letter of acceptance to the NECL – led three way partnership entity, as per G.O. Rt No.16 issued by particular chief secretary (infrastructure & funding) R. Karikal Valaven.
The Ramayapatnam port goes to be developed as an all-weather port and it has a provision for a dry dock/ship raise facility, LNG berths and fishing harbour.
The port has a 12.60 metres draft that may deal with Panamax measurement vessels of 80,000 DWT within the first part of the project and 1,25,000 DWT vessels later and Cape measurement vessels finally.
It will cater to bulk cargo (coal, ore and many others.), containers and numerous commodity uncooked supplies and have everlasting marine services required for mechanised cargo dealing with, transportation and storage to fulfill the calls for of commerce and delivery actions.
