The Union Culture Ministry on January 19 introduced that January 23, the birth anniversary of Subhas Chandra Bose, will be celebrated as “Parakram Diwas” yearly.
In a notification, the Ministry stated the federal government had determined to rejoice the a hundred and twenty fifth birth anniversary 12 months of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose ranging from January 23, 2021, in a befitting method on the nationwide and worldwide stage.
“Now, in order to honour and remember Netaji’s indomitable spirit and selfless service to the nation, Government of India has decided to celebrate his birthday on the 23rd day of the January every year as “PARAKRAM DIWAS” to encourage individuals of this nation, particularly the youth, to act with fortitude within the face of adversity as Netaji did, and to infuse in them a spirit of patriotic fervour,” the notification stated.
