No cracks in glaciers, says Uttarakhand DGP

Successive disasters have left villagers in Chamoli fearful about their security.
Following experiences that cracks had developed in the glaciers on the origin of Rishiganga in Chamoli, a group of scientists carried out an aerial survey and located nothing mistaken, Uttarakhand Director-General of Police Ashok Kumar mentioned.
Mr. Kumar mentioned the scientists performed the heli survey on Saturday. “They did not find anything untoward,” he mentioned.
Following the Chamoli catastrophe in February — in which 204 individuals had been reported lacking and greater than 80 deaths have been confirmed thus far, an avalanche near the Indo-China border close to Joshimath had claimed 11 lives in April. The avalanche had hit a Border Roads Organisation detachment and labour camps. During the search operation, greater than 380 had been rescued.
The successive disasters have left the villagers in the realm fearful about their security.
